India’s Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar said that the counting of votes will also be completed by June 4 and 2,100 observers will monitor the election process.
According to Election Commission officials, 968 million voters are registered, including 18 million new voters, and these voters will elect 543 members of the Lok Sabha.
On the occasion of the release of the Lok Sabha election schedule, the authorities also announced the state assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha.
