In the 21st match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Multan Sultans by 4 runs after an interesting match.

Chasing Peshawar Zalmi’s target of 205 runs, Multan Sultans scored 200 runs at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.

In pursuit of the big target, Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan played an innings of 32 runs. David Mullan 19, Tayyab Tahir 26 and Khushdil Shah 11 runs out.

A smoky partnership of 75 runs was made on 28 balls between Iftikhar Ahmed and Chris Jordan for the sixth wicket, but both the teams could not win.

Iftikhar Ahmed scored 60 runs off 27 balls while Chris Jordan scored 30 runs off 12 balls. Both had a total of 7 sixes and as many fours in their innings.

On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Aamir Jamal dismissed 2 players while Mehran Mumtaz and Naveen ul Haq took one wicket each.

Earlier in the match, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and decided to bat first.

Peshawar Zalmi, batting first, scored 204 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

On behalf of Zalmi, Babar Azam was the top scorer by scoring 64 runs while Saim Ayub played an innings of 46 runs.

Haseebullah Khan scored 31 runs and Asif Ali got out for 11 runs, while Romain Powell scored 23 runs and Aamir Jamal remained not out for 12 runs.

On behalf of Multan Sultans, Osama Mir dismissed 3 players while Chris Jordan took two wickets.

The Peshawar Zalmi team consisted of captain Babar Azam, Saeem Ayub, Tom Koehler Cadmore, Haseebullah Khan, Rumin Powell, Asif Ali, Aamir Jamal, Luke Wood, Naveen Haq, Mehran Mumtaz and Salman Irshad.

The Multan Sultans team included captain Muhammad Rizwan, Reza Hendricks, David Malan, Tayyab Tahir, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Chris Jordan, David Vale, Osama Mir, Aftab Ibrahim and Muhammad Ali.
