Karachi: President Asif Ali Zardari visited the shrine of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and recited Fatiha.
Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) chief Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Karachi for the first time after assuming the office of President of the country and along with Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori, attended the shrine of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and recited Fatiha.
President Asif Ali Zardari was presented a guard of honor on his arrival at Mazar-e-Quaid, the President paid his respects to the founder of Pakistan and also recorded his comments in the guest book.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tesori, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, members of PPP Provincial Assembly and other leaders and officials were present on the occasion of visit to Mazar-e-Quaid.
It should be noted that President Asif Ali Zardari took the oath of office on March 10 after winning the presidential election held on March 9 as the candidate of the government allies.
President Asif Ali Zardari defeated the opposition candidate Mehmood Khan Achakzai and assumed the presidency and Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa administered the oath to him.
